Fishing tours
Transfer to the Maniti river and Paparo lake to fish for Tucunare and Arawana, sports fish of the Amazon basin that grow to approximately 10 pounds in weight
Iquitos - Lomitos - Huaraz - Mancora

ITINERARY
Day 1:

Arrival in Lima, reception and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2:

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Iquitos. Arrival and transfer to the Heliconia Lodge, on the shore of the great Amazon river. After lunch, a fishing tour to get accustomed to the fish of the Amazon including the pirana. After dinner a lecture discussing the Tucunare, the famous Peacock bass. These are fish that can reach 1.20m (3.9 ft) in length and weigh up to 15 to 16 kg (33 to 35) lbs.

Day 3:

Transfer to the Maniti river and Paparo lake to fish for Tucunare and Arawana, sports fish of the Amazon basin that grow to approximately 10 pounds in weight.

Day 4:

Trip to the Napo river to fish for Yuto.

Day 5:

After breakfast, fishing after bagres (catfish) and pirana. After lunch, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Lima. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 6:

After breakfast, we head south by 4X4 vehicle to Ica, on the Pacific coast. Continue onto Lomitas where our pacific coast fishing tour will start. This is the best area for flounder and sea bass fishing, in the cold waters of the humboldt current.

Day 7:

Seafishing.

Day 8:

Seafishing.

Day 9:

Morning fishing tour. Transfer to the Ocucaje hotel for lunch. Return to Lima and transfer to your hotel.

Day 10:

Fabulous trip to Huaraz, in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 11:

Acclimatisation day and some river fishing on the Santa river.

Day 12:

High altitude lake fishing at Llanganuco lake situated at 4500m.

Day 13:

High altitude lake fishing at Querococha lake. Return to Lima by luxury night bus.

Day 14:

Arrival early morning and transfer to the airport for the flight to Tumbes, on the northern coast of Peru. Transfer to the Mancora resort.

Day 15:

Day of leisure.

Day 16:

Transfer to the port for an all-day deep sea fishing programme. Species often caught include black marlin, striped marlin, large-eye and yellow-fin tuna, mako shark, dorado and barracuda.

Day 17:

Return to Tumbes for the flight back to Lima. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 18:

Morning free. Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
