Arrival in Lima,
reception and transfer to a four star
hotel.
City tour of Lima
including a guided visit to the Cathedral,
the Main Square and the San Francisco
Catacombs.
We visit the Paracas
National Reserve and Ballestas islands.
Commonly referred to as the "little
Galapagos", here you will see an amazing
concentration of sea birds and sea
lions in their natural habitat.
Today we fly over
the spectacular Nazca lines, gigantic
drawings and figures which are over
2000 years old.
City tour of Arequipa,
the "white city", including the 16th
century convent which is built entirely
of volcanic lava.
Departure by scheduled
bus to Puno visiting en route Inca
ruins and the remains of the Viracocha
temple. We shall also visit the steaming
volcanic pools by La Raya.
An early start
to visit the Colca canyon, the second
deepest canyon in the world (the deepest
canyon lies only a few kilometres
from here). We shall also have an
opportunity to see the huge condor,
the largest flying bird.
Flight to Cuzco,
the ancient capital of the Incas.
Guided tour of Cuzco including the
Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
Excursion to Urubamba,
the sacred valley of the Incas and
to the ancient Inca market of Pisac.
Train journey to
Aguas Calientes and a full day's guided
tour of Machu Picchu, the most spectacular
ancient city in the world.
Day 11: Lima -
Rio de Janeiro
Return to Lima
for the connecting flight to Brazil.
Transfer to your hotel.
Free day at leisure.
Tour of Rio including
a visit to Sugar loaf mountain and
Cristo de Redentor on Corcovado.
After breakfast,
transfer to the airport for the flight
to Iguazu. Transfer to the hotel.
Full day tour of
the fabulous Iguazu falls (Brazilian
side), the most voluminous falls in
the world and more than three times
the width of the Niagara falls. The
tour also includes a "Macuco Safari"
and exhilirating boat ride on the
Parana river, towards the Iguazu falls
themselves.

Day 17 - 19: Iguazu - Campo Grande (Pantanal Tour)
Flight to Campo Grande in the centre
of Brazil for a fabulous, full board,
all-inclusive tour of the Pantanal,
the largest wetlands in the world.
Lodging at an ecological refuge, this
wonderful tour includes horseback
riding, nocturnal outings, treks and
boat tours. The Pantanal is home to
a huge diversity of wildlife, including
the hyacinth blue macaws, jabiru woodstorks,
toucans, anacondas, anteaters, caiman,
howler monkeys, capybaras and jaguars.
Return flight
to Rio de Janeiro for your connecting
flight home.
You may extend your tour
to Salvador, the historical city
of Brazil, to Manaus, in the heart
of the Amazon or just for a few
days on the beach either in Rio
or further south in Florianopolis.
