Known as the city of the kings, Lima was founded in 1535 by Pizarro and rebuilt in 1991, the same year that UNESCO declared it a world heritage site. One of the very few South American cities that preserve the colonial past, Lima was home to the Spanish viceroy during the time of the Spanish colonialists. The tour will include a visit to the residential areas of San Isidro and Miraflores, before stopping at Larco Mar to enjoy a view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Lunch at the internationally renowned Rosa Nautica, the best seafood restaurant in Lima. After lunch, a round of Golf at the 18-hole Country Club Golf course, one of the oldest courses in South America. The course was designed by Alister Mackenzie in 1935 and with mounds, bunkers and contouring, every hole is tricky. Dinner at the French restaurant, Astrid and Gaston

It is an exceptionally fertile valley that was and remains the larder of Cuzco. Visit the village of Pisac, founded during colonial times, and set at the foot of a hill crowned by the remains of an ancient Inca city. On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Indians barter their products in the main square and artisans from around the area sell their woven alpaca wool blankets and ponchos, engraved gourds, antique reproductions, jewellery, etc. On Sundays, it is also the meeting place for Mayors from all the villages in the region, dressed in their traditional costumes to attend morning mass. After a buffet lunch, a visit to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that was not defeated by the Spanish with an opportunity to explore the ruins which tower above. After lunch at the hotel, a private, guided visit of the four ruins nearby; the Sacsayhuaman Fortress overlooking the of Cuzco, a pre Inca architectural masterpiece; Kenko, a rock sanctuary whose main attraction is the monolithic altar representing a puma, the red Fortress of Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, a beautiful fountain fed by a spring forming a series of basins continue to the city of Cuzco; the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun. Return to your hotel for dinner and a folkloric show.
Day 5. CUZCO - MACHU PICCHU
Transfer to Poroy, a short distance from Cuzco for the luxurious Hiram Bingham train to Aguas Calientes. Full day's private guided tour of Machu Picchu, the most spectacular ancient city in the world. Built by the Inca Pachacutec, and comprising stone blocks fitted with masterful precision, Machu Picchu harmoniously blends into the mountain landscape. There are many theories as to the origins behind Machu Picchu but three of the most popular ideas include a temple to the sun, a fortress against the jungle inhabitants or a sanctuary for the Incas. This fabulous city has houses, temples, warehouses, a large central square, all connected by narrow roads and steps, and is surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side which were used for agriculture. After the tour, free time to enjoy this magical and spiritual wonder. Opportunity for a trek (approx 1 hour) up to the sungate (Intipunku), which is a part of the Inca Trail, for a magical view of the sanctuary. Lunch, dinner and accommodation at Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, at the very entrance to Machu Picchu.

Day 6. MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO
Opportunity to enjoy a wonderful sunrise over Machu Picchu and some personal time for private reflection. Lunch at the Sanctuary lodge. Return to Cuzco in the evening aboard the luxury Hiram Bingham train. Cocktails followed by dinner aboard the train. Reception and transfer to Monasterio hotel.

Day 8. RIO DE JANEIRO

A two-stage cable car takes you to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain where you will enjoy a splendid view of Rio, Copacabana Beach, and Guanabara Bay. Thje trip also includes a visit to the São Bento Monastery, the Candelaria (the candle-makers), Praça XV (where the royal family landed when they first arrived in Rio. Paço Imperial was their first residence), the "Travessa do Mercado", the Imperial Palace, the cultural centre located in the beautifully-restored Banco do Brasil and Casa Franca-Brazil (a masterpiece by the architect Grandjean de Montigny). Day 9. RIO DE JANEIRO

Includes green fee, caddies and rental of golf clubs. Founded in 1921 and designed by the Arthur Morgan Davidson, it runs between the seaside peak called Gávea Rock (Pedra da Gávea) and the Tijuca National Forest. It is a short par 68, 6,000-yard, course where players can expect to use their irons more than their drivers. The front nine are played at the foot of the mountains, holes 10-14 at seaside, and 15-18 back astride the hills. The par-three hole five was rated as one of the world’s most beautiful by Golf Illustrated magazine. Grand Slam winner, South African Gary Player, holds the record for the lowest round on at Gávea and PGA pros Tom Watson and Billy Casper has also played the course. The clubhouse is a colonial farmhouse. Return to your hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Day 10. RIO DE JANEIRO
After breakfast, a half day visit to Corcovado, the mountain home to the world famous, Christo de Redentor statue for a magnificent 360° panoramic view of Rio. After, a trip to the Tijuca forest, a luxuriant tropical forest only minutes away from this huge metropolis. The Tijuca Forest is considered the largest urban forest in the world. It has 330 square kms of preserved Mata Atlântica (Tropical Forest), the highest mountaintops of Rio, waterfalls and hidden caves. A rich flora, with a great biodiversity and an incomparable natural beauty. The caves in the Tijuca Forest are formed of limestone and were originally formed by movements of the crust that caused the collapse of stones from the Papagaio Peak and the Archer Mountain. These stones started to form caves with rocky formations. Another important point is the great variety of bromeliads. The Tijuca Forest is considered to hold the largest concentration of different species of bromeliads in Brazil. Even more than the Amazon Jungle. Return for lunch and before private transfer to the Itanhanga Golf Club located further south in the Barra de Tijuca district. Itanhanga is a par-72, 6,600 yard course that hosted a stage of the European PGA tour four years ago. Founded in 1933, the course was played by President Getúlio Vargas. Gene Littler and Gary Player have also played here. Return to Rio for dinner at an internationally renowned restaurant.
