Wasai Lodge

Category: Economic Class Lodge
DESCRIPTION

Wasai lodge is the last lodge on the Tambopata River. Located on the banks of the Tambopata River; approximately four and a half hours from Puerto Maldonado (approximately 120 km on the river route); in the heart of the Tambopata - Candamo National Reserve, the lodge is surrounded by primary rainforest.

The strategic location of the lodge, on the border of the Tambopata - Candamo National Reserve and Bahuaja - Sonene National Park, along with resident naturalist researches, allows for the development of a series of carefully designed programmes all year round. Accommodation is in rustic bungalows with private bathrooms. The lodge also has an ample dining room and conference room.

There are 20 km of forest trails around the lodge along with local communities at Baltimore, the El Gato Waterfalls, in addition to parrot and mammal clay licks.
