ITINERARY
Day 1: Quito

Arrival to Quito. Reception and private transfer to your hotel, the 5* Swissotel.

Day 2: Quito - Galapagos - Santa Cruz (B, L & D)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Baltra on the Galapagos Islands. You will be met at the airport for the start of your Galapagos tour aboard your first class yacht. The following is only a sample itinerary and will/may differ as according to the yacht available at the time of your booking.
A visit to the second largest island in the Galapagos, Santa Cruz including the Charles Darwin Research Station and the Galapagos National Park offices are also based here. The station is also a tortoise breeding centre, where tortoises of different species are prepared for reintroduction to their natural habitats. The most famous inhabitant is probably Lonesome George, the only survivor of this specific turtle species.

Day 3: Santiago Island - Puerto Egas - Rabida (B, L & D)

A visit to Puerto Egas on Santiago begins with a wet landing on the dark sand beaches of James Bay. The visit begins with a walk along the rocky coast giving visitors the opportunity to view some of the Galapagos Island's best tidal pools. The walk also presents visitors with a variety of shore birds, marine iguanas, sally light foot crabs and sea lions. In the afternoon, a trip to the beach of the small volcanic island of Rabida.

Day 4: Bartolome Island - North Seymour (B, L & D)

Before breakfast, you will disembark at Bartolome Island for a hike to the summit and a spectacular panoramic view. Later there will be a chance to snorkel with Galapagos Penguins. Continue on to Sullivan Bay, a white coral sand beach and begin your walk over lava that flowed less than 100 years ago. Visit to North Seymour, to observe blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, and also sea lions and marine iguanas.

Day 5: Leon Dormido - Interpretation Centre -Guayaquil - Lima (B)

A visit to Leon Dormido, the jagged remains of an old tuff cone whose flanks are covered with seabirds. You shall arrive at San Cristobal to visit the Interpretation Centre at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno before returning to the airport for the flight to Guayaquil & your connecting flight to Lima.Arrival in Lima, reception and private transfer to your hotel, the 5 star Sonesta Olivar or similar.

Day 6: Lima - Cuzco (B)

After breakfast, private transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, reception and private transfer to your hotel, the 4 star Picoaga. Free day to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day 7: Cuzco - Sacred Valley (B & L)

Full-day private excursion to the Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the village of Pisac, founded during Colonial times. On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays the Indians barter their products, and artisans from all over the area sell their woven alpaca wool blankets and ponchos, engraved gourds, antique reproductions and jewellery. On Sundays, it is also the meeting place for the local Mayors of the region, who come dressed in their traditional costumes, to attend morning mass. After lunch, a visit to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town which is still inhabited. Explore the ruins above Ollantaytambo before overnight accommodation at your hotel, the 3 star Pakaritampu Hotel.

Day 8: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu (B & D)

An early transfer to the train station for the 7.30 AM Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. Met by your guide upon arrival, assistance with check in at your hotel, the 5 star Sumaq before transfer by bus up to the ruins (25 minutes) for a private guided visit of the most spectacular ancient city in the world. This fabulous city contains houses, temples, warehouses, a large central square; and all connected by narrow roads and steps that are surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side. After the tour, free time to enjoy this spiritual wonder. Opportunity for a guided trek (approx 1 hour) up to the sungate (Intipunku), which is a part of the Inca Trail, for a magical view of the sanctuary or alternatively an unguided climb to the top of Wayna Picchu, with a magnificent view of the whole Sanctuary (recommended for fit individuals only). Return to your hotel in the evening for accommodation and dinner.

Day 9: Aguas Calientes - - Cuzco (B & L)

Free day to return to the Inca citadel. No entrance tickets or guide are provided today. Return to Cuzco in the afternoon by train. Private transfer to your hotel, the 4 star Picoaga.

Day 10: Cuzco - Lima (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Lima. Reception for a private city tour of modern and colonial Lima, declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1991. The tour includes a visit to the Cathedral, Main Square, San Francisco Conventand its Catacombs, and the residential areas of San Isidro and Miraflores. Return transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
