A guided visit of Machupicchu. Built by the Inca Pachacutec and comprising stone blocks fitted with masterful precision that harmoniously blends into the mountain landscape. There are many theories as to the origins behind Machupicchu but three of the most popular theories include a Temple to the Sun, a Fortress against the jungle inhabitants and a Sanctuary for the Incas. This fabulous city contains houses, temples, warehouses and a large central square which are all connected by narrow roads and steps, and is surrounded by agricultural terraces that are cut into the mountain. After the 2-3 hour tour, there is free time to enjoy this magical and spiritual wonder before returning to Cuzco by train.

TraditionalSacredValley tour - Private or group
Normally scheduled for Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays this is a full-day guided excursion to the Urubamba, or the SacredValley of the Incas. Located between Pisac and Ollantaytambo, the Urubamba is an exceptionally fertile valley that was and still remains the larder of Cuzco. A visit the village of Pisac, founded before colonial times, and which is set at the foot of a hill crowned by the remains of an ancient Inca city. On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Indians barter their products in the main square and artisans from around the area sell their woven alpaca wool blankets and ponchos, engraved gourds, antique reproductions, jewellery, etc. On Sundays it is also the meeting place for Mayors from all the villages in the region, dressed in their traditional costumes to attend morning mass. After lunch, a visit to Ollantaytambo, the ancient Inca before returning to Cuzco and visiting en-route the traditional market town of Chinchero.
Maras & Moray tour - Private
A visit to the Moray Inca terraces located close to the Urubamba valley. These four fabulous terraces resembling an amphitheatre are incredible examples of early agricultural experimentation. As each level of terrace exhibits a marked temperature variation, several different microclimates are formed allowing for the growth of a wide variety of crops. Many types of cereals and products were grown here including corn and potato. The tour continues to the bizarre landscape of Maras, site of over 3000 separate salt pans. Of pre-Inca origin, these salt pans form from an underground source. Return to Cuzco.
Horse riding tour to the ruins above Cuzco - Private or group

There are many places to visit: the salt pans of Salinas, the old village of Pichingoto, the lively market town of Urubamba, or simply explore the wonderful surroundings, the Chakras (farmland) and Quechua communities of the valley, and became familiar with your beautiful Peruvian Paso horses.
