The building dates from May 1536 at the beginning of the founding of the city. It belonged to Don Jerónimo de Aliaga y Ramírez. In 1746 it was completely destroyed by an earthquake. It was rebuilt by Juan José Aliaga and Sotomayor. In the 19th century, a series of works was carried out.
