The Way of the Inca –Cuzco, Sacred Valley
Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Tour Brief
9 day/8 night tour in group service with entrance tickets, guided tours, all meals and equipment on the Inca Trail, airport transfers, bus and train tickets and accommodation in US standard hotels (tourist class, 3 star superior & 4 star options).

Destination background
Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Incas which was subsequently built upon by the Spanish Conquistadores in the 16th century who erected grand colonial mansions and beautiful cathedrals and churches. Considered the most important pre-colonial city in the Americas it is also the gateway to Machu Picchu, the new seventh wonder of the world. Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas, was a religious centre built on the saddle of a mountain high in the Andes and which today is accessed by train or for the more adventurous by a 4 day trek popularly known as the Inca Trail. This 4 day trek is a strenuous but incredibly rewarding trek over high mountain passes with beautiful waterfalls, mountain views and many archaeological sites along the way before arriving to Machu Picchu itself. This tour is ideal for those with a high level of personal fitness and a sense of adventure. As you will be camping for three nights, sometimes in cold and damp conditions, this tour is not recommended for those who are seeking a more comfortable trip. You must also consider that the trek involves over 7 hours of walking at high altitude per day. We do encourage you to spend extra days in Cuzco and Lima. Contact us for further details.
