Lima - Sacred Valley – Cuzco - Machu Picchu

Arrival in Lima. Reception and private transfer to your hotel, the 5 star Luxury Miraflores Park Hotel.

After breakfast, private transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, reception and private transfer to the Sacred Valley. Accommodation at the Aranwa hotel; your hotel for the next two nights. After lunch (not included), a visit to the village of Pisac, founded during Colonial times. On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays the Indians barter their products, and artisans from all over the area sell their woven alpaca wool blankets and ponchos, engraved gourds, antique reproductions and jewellery. On Sundays, it is also the meeting place for the local Mayors of the region, who come dressed in their traditional costumes, to attend morning mass. Return to your hotel.

After breakfast, a visit to the traditional town of Chinchero and the arcaheoloigical site of Moray before enjoying lunch in the sacred valley. After lunch, a visit to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town built on the mountain side which was undefeated by the conquistadores before returning to your hotel.

An early transfer to the train station for the 7.30 AM Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. You will be met by your guide upon arrival before transfer by bus up to your hotel, the Sanctuary Lodge, located outside of the ruins of Machu Picchu. After check in, guided visit of the ruins and the most spectacular ancient city in the world. This fabulous city contains houses, temples, warehouses, a large central square; and all connected by narrow roads and steps that are surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side. After the tour, lunch at your hotel before free time to enjoy this spiritual wonder. Opportunity for a trek (approx 1 hour) up to the sungate (Intipunku), which is a part of the Inca Trail, for a magical view of the sanctuary or alternatively an unguided climb to the top of Wayna Picchu, with a magnificent view of the whole Sanctuary (recommended for fit individuals only). Return to your hotel in the evening for accommodation and dinner.

After breakfast, opportunity to return to the ruins for a more personal appreciation. Entrance tickets included but no guide as we feel some time for personal discovery will enhance your appreciation of thuis magical and spiritual site. Return to Cuzco in the afternoon ad transfer to your hotel, the luxury 5 star Monasterio Hotel.

Free day at leisure. Perhaps visit the main square, the beautiful cathedral or perhaps the pre-Colombino museum. We will give you a map and offer suggestions galore to enjoy this day in Cuzco at leisure. Accommodation at the Monasterio Hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport in private for your return flight to Lima and your connecting flight home.
