Filiberto Rurush, a professional UIAGM mountain guide with over 22 years of experience and conversant in
English, French and German. Filiberto has led most of our climbs throughout the
Cordillera Blanca; including Alpamayo, Huascaran, Yerupaja, Chopicalqui and Tocllaraju.
He is also our foremost guide for the 12 day Huayhuash trek, widely regarded as the greatest
trek in the world. Outside of Peru, he has led expeditions to Bolivia, including those to
Ancohuma and Illampu. |

Carlos Zarate is another professional UIAGM mountain guide from the same school as Filiberto. Based in
Arequipa, Carlos has been the president of the Association of Peruvian Mountain guides
for many years. Leading all our expeditions in southern Peru, Carlos has also led five
ascents of Aconcagua and several climbs in Northern Chile, Argentina and Bolivia. |

Victorino Basilio Huaranga has the highest record of any climber for the Cordillera Blanca; with an
incredible 50 ascents of Huascaran, 8 ascents of Alpamayo and the fastest record for the
ascent and descent of Huascaran Sur. His time of 12 hours and 20 minutes from the
Moraine camp to the summit and back to Huaraz is an inspiration for all sports mountain
climbers. |

Rodrigo Pedro Callupe Limay is a very experienced climber in both the Cordillera Blanca range of Peru and Cordillera Real of Bolivia. Rodrigo is also our skiing specialist having trained in both France and Spain. He is an instructor at the guides school in Huaraz and is a
specialist in emergency rescue techniques. |

Juan Mendes Moreno at 39 is one of our younger guides but nevertheless is very experienced in both the Cordillera Huayhuash and Cordillera Blanca ranges. He has climbed in Chile and has
participated twice on our Aconcagua trips. He is also a specialist in emergency rescue techniques. |
