SIPAN - SICAN - BRUNING - TUCUME
(3 days, 2 nights)
Day 1:Flight to Trujillo. Reception and transfer to your hotel in Chiclayo. Excursion to the Sipan Huaca Rajada, two adobe pyramids separated by a huge square and belonging to the Sipan culture, followed by a visit to Sipan museum. The discovery of Sipan was the most important twentieth century archaeological find in Peru. The tombs were intact with many artefacts of silver, gold and copper. The Lord of Sipan was dated to 350AD. Return to your hotel.
Day 2:
After breakfast, a guided visit to the Sican museum, housing many artefacts of the Lambayeque culture, followed by a visit to Pomac forest, a historical sanctuary and the largest dry forest in the Americas. After lunch, return to your hotel.
Day 3:
After breakfast, a visit to the Tucume complex, home to over 26 pyramids. The day concludes with a visit to the Bruning museum, perhaps the best museum in South America. Transfer to the airport for your return flight back to Lima.
